about one yoga

The idea for one yoga has come from Jaylene's 12 years of experience as a Practicing Kinesiologist and as a practitioner of yoga. Realizing the therapeutic benefits of yoga, she decided to combine the two and teach yoga therapy.
Jaylene wanted a simple yet meaningful name for her business. The name one yoga embodies the idea to become one with yourself and your surroundings.
The one yoga logo takes this idea into a visual sense, with the one single
heart, the self, surrounded and supported by all. The colour green was
used to link the logo, symbolizing hearts, to the anahata chakra or the heart
chakra, the source of unconditional love.
"We are all one when we live from the heart."

Jaylene has come to yoga with a 14 year background as a Kinesiologist and is now a 500 hour level yoga teacher, through the South Okanagan Yoga Academy. She has studied yoga therapy under Susi Hately of Functional Synergy and just recently completed 300 hours of a 500 hour level Moksha teacher training program in Toronto. Jaylene loves teaching the customized yoga therapy classes as well as the punch card classes such as Moksha Inspired, Body Balance, Mom & Baby and the lunch time Yoga Works. As well she is a partner in Chinook Yoga Studio and hopes to share all the wonderful teachings she has learned with the Prince George community!
Jaylene was drawn to
yoga because of the balance it brought into her life. She looks forward to
sharing this, combined with her knowledge of Kinesiology, and help her future students find better body balance.
When not practicing or teaching yoga Jaylene
spends time with her family and friends. She also loves the outdoors and
has a passion for photography, and took the majority of the
photographs on this website. Special thanks to Veronica Lopez, the yoga model!
